Yoshi can throw an egg at one to receive coins; for most crafts, hitting one sends it flying into the air, and Yoshi can earn more coins by throwing multiple eggs at it and racking up a combo before it disappears. After clearing a world, the Blockafeller asks Yoshi to bring it souvenirs in the form of crafts.

One at a time, Yoshi will be requested to find a certain number of the souvenir in a certain level. Players do not need to collect all the collectibles in one run; previously-obtained Smiley Flowers and will remain translucent upon replays.Smiley Flowers are used to unlock new subworlds by paying a 'toll' to the resting in front of it. Once all of them are collected, they can be paid to the big Blockafeller in Hidden Hills to unlock the costume. Getting all the Smiley Flowers in a subworld will adorn the diorama with festive pinwheel flowers.Blockafellers appear in each subworld to provide the Yoshis with missions to find souvenirs in the form of, themed decorations that appear in the foreground or background. Jump into a new Yoshi adventure in a world made of everyday objects—like boxes and paper cups! As Yoshi, you’ll leap up high, gulp down enemies, and set out on a treasure hunt to find all the different collectables. On the flip side, stages can be played backwards, providing new perspectives to explore and new ways to locate some of the more craftily hidden items! this fabled artifact can grant the bearer their wildest dreams! But when the artifact’s gems are sent flying, it falls upon Yoshi and friends to find them. Luckily, saving the day can be cooperative and challenging. Pass a Joy-ConTM controller to a friend to team up as fellow Yoshis. Also, Mellow mode gives Yoshi wings for a breezier experience, which may come in handy! Finding all the flowers, coins, and Poochy Pups is no small feat! For extra protection, suit up in one of the handicraft costumes you can unlock in-game!
