Yarrctopus is a mini-boss who appears in Yoshi's Crafted World. He is fought in Yarrctopus Docks at the end of the level Pirate Pier. He is a pirate octopus made out of craft materials. Due to Yarrctopus only being a mini-boss, defeating him will not recover a Dream Gem. Yoshis crafted world pastel pathway. His name comes from 'yarr' (a pirate's shout) and 'octopus'.

Once Yoshi makes it to the end of Pirate Pier, Kamek will appear with Baby Bowser, refusing to let Yoshi travel any farther. Using his magic, he repairs a pirate ship in the background and transforms one of its cannons into Yarrctopus, who must be defeated. During his battle, Yarrctopus will remain on the pirate ship, hiding behind three different walls. After a moment, one of the walls will fall over, fully revealing Yarrctopus, who will then try to shoot a spike ball at Yoshi. If successful, Yoshi will take damage. If Yoshi is able to hit Yarrctopus with an egg before the wall goes up, however, Yarrctopus will be launched into the sea and return, angrier than before.

As Yarrctopus becomes angrier, he will launch more spike balls at Yoshi each time he appears. Rocks which appear in the water will also obscure Yarrctopus, preventing Yoshi from being able to hit him at certain times. After Yarrctopus is hit with an egg three times, he will once again be launched into the ocean, where he will remain. After his defeat, the level is completed, and Yoshi can advance to Go-Go Land.

Front Side[edit]

The level begins with a Pirate Guy in front of a trampoline with many Coins above it. Next, there is a set of two trampolines with more Pirate Guys and the first Smiley Flower under it. After that, there is a blue Winged Timer Cloud in front of a large wheel and tramploine. Collecting all the Blue Coins spawned rewards Yoshi with the second Smiley Flower. Afterwards, there is a trampoline with a Nep-Enut and the third Smiley Flower next to it. Then there is a pirate ship with a present box in the distance, that can be walked up to.

Mar 27, 2019  Yoshi’s Crafted World isn’t a tough platformer, so that fun wasn’t usually from a sense of overcoming a challenge. In fact, apart from the four levels that unlock at the end of its campaign, most of its 40+ stages pose little threat to complete at all. Yoshi's Crafted World is a title in the Yoshi franchise, the sixth main platform game starring Yoshi, and the follow-up to the Wii U title Yoshi's Woolly World, released for the Nintendo Switch on March 29, 2019. It was developed by Good-Feel, the developer behind Yoshi's Woolly World and its Nintendo 3DS port Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World. Yoshi's Crafted World Bunmawashi Dolls 1 are enemies that only appear in Yoshi's Crafted World. They are yarn, clown-like dolls that try to attack Yoshi with an axe. Mar 28, 2019  Yoshi's Crafted World is overall a cute and charming platformer. But not every level follows suit. While some later stages get more difficult, one level in particular sticks out as surprisingly creepy. This stage features several deranged clowns who will stop at nothing to hunt you down.

If Yoshi heads south, he will find the first Checkpoint Bell, followed by two spinning wheels and a Nep-Enut, where the fourth Smiley Flower is found. Then there is an Egg-Plant in front of a set of many trampolines with Pirate Guys bouncing on them. Afterward is a set of three wheels with Fly Guys, and a Nep-Enut. Then there is a red Winged Timer cloud that shows the flip side of the stage. Yoshi must throw eggs at three Pirate Guys on a pirate ship, carrying Blue Coins. Hitting them all rewards Yoshi with the fifth Smiley Flower. Next is abridge with an Egg Block next to it. Yoshi must travel North, defeating a Nep-Enut along the way. After another set of trampolines with Nep-Enuts in-between, the second Checkpoint Bell is found.

After the Checkpoint is a set of trampolines and wheels, with a Pirate Guy, Nep-Enuts, and a Fly guy. The sixth and final Smiley Flower can be found under a trampoline. After finding an Egg-Plant, Yoshi will have to traverse a final set of three wheels with Nep-Enuts. Then, there is a Winged Cloud containing Hearts, which is followed by the door leading to the fight with Yarrctopus.

Flip Side[edit]

The door to Yarrctopus is closed and cannot be entered. The blue Poochy Pup greets Yoshi in front of a pirate ship that is closely in the background. The black Poochy Pup is found in an area inside the spot occupying an Egg-Plant. Yoshi must bounce an egg off two slanted walls with targets, which turns a lever. This causes a door to open, allowing Yoshi to get to the second Poochy Pup. The pink Poochy Pup is inside a piece of ground. Yoshi must go under a trampoline and crawl through an opening to reach it.

• Smiley Flower 1: Below the second trampoline, next to a Pirate Guy.
• Smiley Flower 2: Obtained by collecting all the Blue Coins spawned by the first Winged Timer Cloud.
• Smiley Flower 3: Next to the first Nep-Enut, under a semi-solid platform.
• Smiley Flower 4: In a hidden Winged Cloud occupying the same space as a Nep-Enut.
• Smiley Flower 5 Obtained by hitting three Pirate Guys carrying Blue Coins, shown after hitting a red Winged Timer Cloud.
• Smiley Flower 6: Under a trampoline, in plain sight. Throwing an egg at it is recommended.

Three more Smiley Flowers are awarded for collecting at least 100 coins in the level, completing the level with 20 hearts, and collecting all 20 Red Coins.
