2Blockafellers
Baby Bowser[edit]
'That thing looks like it's seen better days...'
'Then we'd better get moving and find the gems before the Yoshis do!'
'Did one of those gems really wind up around here?' (before fighting the Tin-Can Condor)
'Aw shoot! YOU again? Blech.'
'Pfft, what?! WHERE?'
'You're LYING, AREN'T you! You big...LIAR FACE!'
'I NEED me a gem! Pronto!'
'Heh! He hasn't even found one. He's completely clueless!'
'Get rid of him now so we can keep looking without him in the way!'
'I want the biggest, baddest, most awesomest...ROBOT!' (before fighting The Great King Bowser)
Blockafellers[edit]
Coal[edit]
'Seems like ya stopped by while I was out meandering.'
'You're Yoshi, right?'
'I heard about you from my little brother Fin. I'm Coal.'
'Say, could you help me find some souvenirs here in Sunshine Station?'
'Let's see here...'
'I'd love some cows, please. I think 5 should do the trick!'
'I saw a ton of them grazing in some fields. Can you collect 5 for me?'
'If you see one, just toss an egg at that sucker!'
'Woo! You found me some cows!'
'As thanks for your help, I present you with...this!'
'Flowers draw a smile on just about anyone's face!'
'If someone's feeling low, just hand 'em some Flowers. That'll do the trick!'
'I've got another request...'
'I'd love a clothesline, please.'
'Whose clothes are those, just hanging around town?'
'Woo! You found me a clothesline!'
'I'd love a paper airplane, please.'
'There was one on the flip side! I wonder if it can fly very far...'
'Woo! You found me a paper airplane!'
'I'd love some milk bottles, please. I think 5 should do the trick!'
'A bottle that holds milk! I bet you'll find one on the flip side.'
'Woo! You found me some milk bottles!'
'I'm fresh outta requests for ya!'
'Huzzah! You collected all the Smiley Flowers in Sunshine Station.'
Fin[edit]
'Ugh, I'm wiped out. If only I had a Smiley Flower...'
'Thank you! I feel good as new!'
'Allow me to open up this area for ya. Just a sec!'
'Welcome to Yarrctopus Docks!'
'Phew, I feel so much better after that Smiley Flower!'
'I'm Fin the flower fan! Fin Blockafeller if you're feeling formal. How d'ya do?'
'Yoshi, is it? Whaddaya doin' here?'
'In search of gems, huh?'
'Hm. Well I did see something shimmering in the sky that landed not far from here...'
'Lemme see...'
'Pretty sure it fell somewhere over there.'
'Just follow this road, and you're sure to find it!'
'Best of luck!'
'And here is the port, with the vast, open ocean beyond!'
'Just be wary of the pirates around here.'
'Hey, Yoshi!'
'How'd ya like Yarrctopus Docks? So much to see, huh?'
'I've been hoping for a local souvenir...'
'I'd love a flatfish, please.'
'Lemme help ya out. This fella's pretty sizeable and dwells on the ocean floor.'
'If you see one, just toss an egg at that sucker!'
'Woo! You found me a flatfish!'
'As thanks for your help, I present you with...this!'
'Flowers draw a smile on just about anyone's face!'
'If someone's feeling low, just hand 'em some Flowers. That'll do the trick!'
'I've got another request...'
'I'd love some Flightless Goonies, please. I think 6 should do the trick!'
'I hear they hang around the port. Collect 6 for me, if you please!'
'Woo! You found me some Flightless Goonies!'
'I'd love some crabs, please. I think 3 should do the trick!'
'Take a peek around the ocean floor to see them scuttling around! Snag 3 for me!'
'Woo! You found me some crabs!'
'I'd love a pirate ship, please.'
'Pretty sure this one can only be seen from the flip side of the port.'
'Woo! You found me a pirate ship!'
'I'd love a squid, please.'
'Explore every angle to spot this squid on the flip side!'
'Woo! You found me a squid!'
'I'd love a steamboat, please.'
'I saw one on the flip side of the port, but I can't recall what it looked like exactly...'
'Woo! You found me a steamboat!'
'I'd love some small stripy fish, please. I think 5 should do the trick!'
'These little ones are only seen on the flip side around the ocean floor. Collect 5!'
'Woo! You found me some small stripy fish!'
'I'm fresh outta requests for ya!'
'Huzzah! You collected all the Smiley Flowers in Yarrctopus Docks.'
Kamek[edit]
'Without its gems, it seems the stone has lost all of its power. Useless!'
'If you think you're going to find any gems, think again!'
'In fact, you'll never even leave THIS place.'
'Without a working train, you're dead in your tracks! Good luck finding the missing parts.'
'And where do you think you're going?' (before fighting Yarrctopus)
'I'll send you to your watery doom!'
'Pretty sure it was in this area...' (before fighting the Tin-Can Condor)
'Argh, how did he catch up so quickly?!'
'Wait a tick. Could he have already found some gems?'
'I think he's full of stuffing, Your Nastiness!'
'Understood, Your Shortness! Allow me.'
'I'm gonna make bird feed outta you, bub!'
'Oho! You're one tough cookie, aren't you? Well this is FAR from over.' (after defeating the Tin-Can Condor)
'Hrmmm... There's more than meets the eye with this party ball...' (before fighting Spike the Piranha)
'Your Awfulness! Please wait!'
'YOSHI! I'll have you know His Grossness was looking forward to breaking that ball!'
'My piranha plant[sic] will gobble you up and show you what's what!'
'Skree! You don't give up easy, do you? My treacherous traps will be your doom!' (before fighting the Shogun of Skewers)
'YOU AGAIN? You are driving me CRAZY. I won't allow you to go ONE. STEP. FURTHER.' (before fighting Mr. Geary)
Narrator[edit]
'This is the lovely island of the Yoshis.'
'At the topmost peak of the island sits a glistening, gem-set wonder known as the Sundream Stone.'
'Legends say the Sundream Stone possesses the power to make anyone's wildest dreams come true!'
'One fine day...'
'Baby Bowser and Kamek caught wind of the Sundream Stone and made their way to the island.'
'Eeheehee! We'll be taking that!'
'When the Yoshis came to, they found themselves in an unfamiliar forest...'
'Aw... The poor Yoshis seem to be lost...'
'Oh my! The Dream Gems-they're all gone!'
'The Sundream Stone isn't looking too hot now...'
'What a tragedy! Someone better find those gems before Kamek and Baby Bowser get to them.'
'Wonder where this path leads...'
'Maybe it'll pave the way to the gems!'
'Looks like the Yoshis are sorting out who should go on this mission.'
'How many Yoshis should go?'
'Which Yoshi?' (when choosing 'one')
'Which Yoshis should go?' (when choosing 'two')
'All set?'
'It's settled, then!'
'The rest of the Yoshis will stay and protect the Sundream Stone. It'll be safe and sound!'
'The journey to find the gems begins!'

What’s good, spider balls and morph balls! It’s bonus time! We had so much to talk about in NEP 026 that we made it double the length! We’ll also be doing an EXTRAepisode during the week: a spoilercast for Chocobo’s Mystery Dungeon: Every Buddy!
In this episode of NEP, we discuss Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Thieves, the controversy of Persona 5 not being announced for Switch and the community’s negative reaction. This leads us to talk about reality vs expectation, vocal gaming culture and how some gamers handle disappointment. We then lighten things up by talking about Super Mario Maker 2’s upcoming release, Nintendo’s financial briefing (including Pokemon and E3 details), and some more information about Nintendo and Tencent Holdings partnership to break into the Chinese market with the release of Nintendo Switch. And even more!
We hope you enjoy the extra effort this week! As ever, we would appreciate your help in growing the show by sharing the podcast with a friend! Thanks for listening!

Yoshi’s Crafted World dev explains how the game came to be and how Switch influenced the project
Posted on 11 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
After making Yoshi’s Woolly World on Wii U (and eventually 3DS), Good Feel continued with the IP to produce Yoshi’s Crafted World on Switch. Members of the development team spoke about the project in-depth in this month’s issue of Nintendo Dream.
According to director Masahiro Yamamoto, talks with Nintendo began before Switch launched. It was actually Nintendo who asked Good Feel is the company wanted to make another Yoshi game as opposed to the other way around. Also, due to Switch’s nature of playing with others and a home console that can be taken on the go, that acted as a major point of influence and led to the idea of having two sides to the different stages.

Yoshi’s Crafted World sold through 36% of its initial shipment in Japan
Posted on 11 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Yoshi’s Crafted World launched worldwide on March 29. Through March 31, the game sold a bit over 50,000 copies in Japan. Media Create now shares further information about the game’s performance.
Yoshi’s Crafted World sold through 35.96% of its initial shipment. To compare this to recent entries in the series: Yoshi’s Woolly World, which released in July 2015 on Wii U, sold 31,000 units in its first week, while the semi-follow up on the 3DS, Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World, initially sold 40,000 units in that same timeframe. The sales of Switch, however, were down to 50,000 units (89.78% of the previous week), the lowest of the year. Media Create says this means there is no marked influence of the game on hardware sales.

Yoshi’s Crafted World dev comments on the game’s difficulty
Posted on 11 months ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
Yoshi’s Crafted World assistant producer Nobuo Matsumiya from Nintendo commented on the game’s difficulty in the latest issue of Nintendo Dream.
Speaking with the magazine, Matsumiya explained that the team wanted Yoshi’s Crafted World to be approachable for all players. The challenge and replability factor comes in if you wish to collect everything. Matsumiya further added, “While there may be some players wanting the same play challenge as Yoshi’s Island, I think there may also be players who want to enjoy the world but find the gameplay bewildering.”

[Review] Yoshi’s Crafted World
Posted on 11 months ago by Campbell(@CampbellSGill) in Reviews, Switch | 0 comments
System: Switch Release date: March 29, 2019 Developer: Good Feel Publisher: Nintendo
Few games have put a smile on my face as much as Yoshi’s Crafted World. From its gorgeously “crafted” graphics to its adorable, friendly characters, the game is a distillation of simple joy. Even though it doesn’t do very much that’s completely new or innovative, it excels at providing an excellently-presented game that’s bursting at the seams with gameplay that anyone can enjoy.
